She also enjoys gardening, dancing, playing the piano, decorating cakes and doing origami with her son.
Florence was delighted to be a highly commended artist in the Homiens Art Prize in 2025 Fall 2025 competition for her painting of “The Glanville Fritillary”.
Florence was also delighted to be awarded runner up in the Hillingdon Christmas Card commpetion 2025 for her locally inspired Christmas Scene.
Florence is a member of the Ruislip Artists Society in London and regularly exhibits her latest work with them in local venues.
Florence approaches her art with a sense of fun; she loves a project and is always up for a challenge… when her sister’s local community in Devon asked for a pair of giant dromedaries for their local live nativity play, Florence jumped at the chance to create these for them. These were hand drawn and painted by Florence and cut out with the assistance of her brother-in-law Graeme Nisbet who runs Beechview Joinery.
